Position Overview

As a Game Reserve Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of one of Africa’s most stunning game reserves. You will work closely with a team of professionals committed to preserving biodiversity while ensuring that our guests enjoy an unforgettable safari experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of the game reserve, ensuring ecological balance and sustainability.
• Manage and train a dedicated team of staff, including guides, camp personnel, and maintenance workers.
• Develop and implement wildlife conservation strategies, including monitoring animal populations and habitat management.
• Ensure compliance with all safety and conservation laws and regulations.
• Work collaboratively with local communities on conservation and tourism initiatives.
• Facilitate guided safari tours and educational programs, providing guests with insights into wildlife and ecosystems.
• Manage the budget and operational logistics of the reserve, including maintenance of facilities and vehicles.
• Cultivate relationships with guests to improve their experience and gather feedback for improvement.
• Participate in outreach activities and represent Wild Haven Safaris at conservation events and workshops.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for our Game Reserve Manager Jobs will possess the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Wildlife Management, Environmental Science, or a related field; a Master’s degree will be considered an advantage.
• At least 5 years of experience in wildlife management, preferably in a similar role.
• Strong leadership and management skills with experience supervising teams.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a passion for guest interaction and education.
• In-depth knowledge of African wildlife, ecosystems, and conservation practices.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and adaptability to dynamic environments.
• Current First Aid and Wilderness First Responder certification is an advantage.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
