Motor Claim Surveyor Job

Location: London, UK

Salary: £35,000 – £45,000 per annum, depending on experience

Are you an experienced claims professional with a keen eye for detail and an understanding of motor vehicle assessment? We are thrilled to announce an opening for the position of Motor Claim Surveyor at a leading insurance company known for its innovative claims management process and commitment to customer satisfaction.

Your Role

As a Motor Claim Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in the assessment and resolution of motor insurance claims. You will be responsible for evaluating the extent of vehicle damage, determining repair costs, investigating claims circumstances, and ensuring compliance with regulatory policies.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough inspections of damaged vehicles to determine the cause and extent of damage.
• Prepare detailed reports on findings and recommendations for repairs or total loss assessments.
• Communicate effectively with policyholders, garages, and other stakeholders regarding claim decisions.
• Assess repair estimates to ensure fairness and compliance with company standards.
• Investigate fraudulent claims by gathering all necessary evidence and relevant information.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of all claims handled.
• Stay updated with the latest industry developments, regulations, and practices.
• Work collaboratively with risk managers and other team members to streamline claim processes.

Key Requirements

• Proven experience as a claim surveyor or in a similar role within the insurance sector.
• Strong knowledge of motor vehicle repair procedures and costs.
• Excellent analytical skills with a high level of attention to detail.
• Ability to effectively communicate with various stakeholders, including customers and technical specialists.
• Proficiency in using claims management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Valid driving license and willingness to travel to different sites for vehicle inspection.
• Insurance qualifications (e.g., CII) will be an added advantage.
