Job Details

As an SLP Summer Intern, you will work under the supervision of licensed SLPs and gain practical experience that is essential for your future career. This is a paid position, designed for undergraduate and graduate students currently enrolled in a speech-language pathology program. Interns will participate in various activities, including assessments, therapy sessions, and administrative tasks.

Responsibilities

Assist in conducting assessments for clients with speech and language disorders.
Support SLPs during therapy sessions by implementing treatment plans.
Document progress and update client records under the supervision of licensed professionals.
Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss client evaluations and treatment strategies.
Engage with clients and their families to provide education on speech and language development.
Help organize and participate in community outreach programs to raise awareness about speech disorders.

Qualifications

Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Speech-Language Pathology or a related field.
Strong interest in working with individuals with communication disorders.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Detail-oriented and organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
