Job Responsibilities

As a caregiver at Sunnyvale Nursing Home, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Assisting residents with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding.
• Providing companionship to residents and engaging them in activities.
• Monitoring residents’ health status and reporting any changes to nursing staff.
• Ensuring the cleanliness and safety of resident living areas.
• Helping with medication reminders and administration as directed by nursing staff.
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality care.

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, you should have:

• A high school diploma or equivalent; additional education in healthcare or social services is a plus.
• Ideally, a minimum of one year of experience in a caregiving role, preferably in a nursing home or similar setting.
• A genuine passion for caring for the elderly and a strong desire to enhance their quality of life.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team.
• Basic knowledge of assisting with activities of daily living and recognizing health-related issues.
• Ability to pass a background check and possess any required certifications (CPR, First Aid, etc.).
