Job Description

The primary responsibility of a Tractor Trailer Driver is to transport goods between various locations while adhering to all safety regulations and company policies. You will be expected to operate a tractor-trailer combination, manage paperwork, and communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate a tractor-trailer safely and efficiently to transport goods according to delivery schedules.
• Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues prior to departure.
• Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety.
• Maintain accurate records of hours of service, vehicle maintenance, and cargo delivered.
• Follow all Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations.
• Communicate with dispatch regarding any issues or changes to delivery schedules.
• Secure cargo to prevent damage during transport.
• Maintain a clean and organized truck cab at all times.

Qualifications

• Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A required.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience driving a tractor-trailer.
• Strong understanding of DOT regulations and safety protocols.
• Ability to navigate and use route planning tools.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong work ethic with the ability to work independently.
• Must pass a background check and drug screening.
